Sorry, folks—the recently-announced (and much-anticipated) horror game Silent Hills is not happening. The new Silent Hill game, announced last year through a playable teaser called P.T. (which actually stands for “playable teaser”), was set to bea collaboration between film director Guillermo del Toro and Metal Gear Solid designer Hideo betdog Kojima. wasn’t happening, and sure enough, now it’s official. Says Konami in a statement to Kotaku: Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic ‘Silent Hills’ project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued. In terms of Kojima and Del Toro being involved, discussions on future Silent Hill projects y1 games are currently underway, and please stay tuned for further announcements. y1 com Guillermo del Toro sure has a tragic history with video games, huh?
